Objective To find the ideal operation of lifting nasal obstruction.
Methods According to the specific surgical disease, individualized operation were performed in 108 cases of deviation of nasal septum (DNS) and chronic hypertrophic rhinitis (CHR). The main surgical method is based on three line tension relaxing correction for deviation of nasal septum. CHR cases were mainly treated by inferior turbinate with fractured-bone removal in combination with plasma radiofrequency ablation for volumetric tissue reduction, sub-mucoperiosteous partial resection or partial inferior turbinectomy.
Results All the cases were followed up 3-12 months after operation, effective rate was 93%, symptoms of headache and complication of rhinitis sicca, etc were not appeared.
Conclusion Through attention to keep the physiological function of nasal mucosa, the integrity of the nasal septum, appropriate expansion of the nasal cavity volume, restore ventilation in bilateral symmetry of the nasal cavity, can achieve satisfactory results.
